Thank you so much, I really appreciate your comments!!:iconhappyskipplz:
For the paper, I just used an 8.5 by 11 size 4 dollar or so drawing pad from Walmart. I hate that paper to death, so I would definitely recommend getting good quality paper. I finally took my own advice and got a couple Canson drawing pads, and it makes a world of difference! For the pens, I used a sharpie to color the larger areas, and a micron size .03 to do the shading lines.
Ok, I'm done with my rant!:iconrelievedplz: Hope this helps!:icongreatjobplz:

oh, It definitely helps! see my problem is the paper that i work on always tends to crumple or crease. This causes a problem when i move onto shading or colouring or try to take photo of it.(I use whatever A4 sheets I find lying :P )
& I've always used normal ballpoint pens for my drawings, never knew about the microns until I joined DA :omfg:
I saw a set of Sakura microns on the net, wondering whether to buy them or not
THanks!

I would definitely try using a thicker paper then, and it shouldn't crumple on you. You could try the Sakura pens, but in my experience with them, they tend to clog up on me. (but hey, that might just be me:)) I recently bought a set of Faber Castell pens and they work great. They come in all the same sizes as the microns, and they are around the same price.

I'm guessing. This is made by some fine-point pen and marker. Beautiful execution. The illusion of shading is smooth yet it brings impact. This is good.

Holy shit! This is so good! What materials did you use to make it? and what size was your paper? AND HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU?! I always ask these things because I need to learn from the pros haha

+ the shading is fucking awesome

Wow, thanks! I used a regular old pencil for the lineart, a micron pen size 01 to ink and shade, a sharpie marker to shade the larger areas, and colored pencil to color the background.
This one took me around four days to finish because of work.:iconichigodepressedplz:

I hope this helps!:)
